
EPA's LCRR and LCRI Compliance with XRF Company Handheld XRF
The XRF Company selection of handheld XRF units for lead service line (LSL) inventory identification. The Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) requires that public water system comply with the Lead and Copper Improvement (LCRI) proposal which means an inventory of of lead, lead-lined galvanized and lead-free containing service lines.
To comply, all 60,000 plus water systems in the U.S. must inventory and some cases replace water lines. Water utilities companies, water resource engineering firms, inspection companies and labs require a simple and quick tool like handheld XRF for rapid, non-destructive identification of lead and lead-free pipes which can contained lead-lined galvanized.
EPA is funding through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to make rapid progress on removing harmful lead from America’s drinking water.
