Handheld and Portable Rare Earth Element (REE) XRF Company Analyzers

Rare earth elements (REE) are crucial elements that offer unique properties that are crucial in much of today's technology like EVs, turbines, computers etc.  REE consist of the entire row on lanthanides along with scandium (Sc) and yttrium (Y).  Rare earth elements are not found in concentrated ore deposits which makes them very expensive to extract and mine.

Handheld and portable XRF offers the exploration and mining industry with a simple to use but effective technology for analysis of rare earth elements.  Handheld XRF utilizing 50kV or 55kV X-ray tube excitation can detect Sc, Y as well as some of the lighter REE like lanthanum (La), Cerium (Ce), Praseodymium (Pr), Neodymium (Nd).   While a portable system (SciAps Powerhouse) utilizing a 80kV X-ray tube will add Samarium (Sm), Europium (Eu), Dysprosium (Dy) and others.
