Verifying Zinc Levels in Copper Alloys for Zincification Prevention

Zincification can occur when the copper (brass) alloy used has higher than 15% Zinc and low pH and high temperatures exist.  To prevent Zincification, it is recommended that low Zn copper, stainless or dezincification resistant brass (DZR) containing arsenic, antimony or phosphorus.
